"yes but i wouldnt ask anything myself." Personally I'm not for or against ponies. I don't love 'em, but I've got nothing against 'em either. If you wanna throw in some asks on occasion, that sounds cool, go for it But I wouldn't suggest shifting focus entirely to ponies. Variety is the spice of life, as the saying goes.
When I watch an artist, it's 'cause I found some aspect of a majority of their gallery interesting. If they decide to pepper in some ponies, that's cool; I encourage variety and creativity from my fellow artist friends, so I shouldn't expect absolute typecast from artists I'm watching either. But when an artist decides to entirely shift focus and they're no longer working on subjects that interest me, I'm less inclined to continue watching. I quit ~evion, *Sin-R, =yapi and others for that reason. Not 'cause their work wasn't good; those exampled artists are pretty damn good as artists, but I became disinterested in their subject matter after a while.
So yeah 'asks' away But don't get carried away
...Or ignore all that, 'cause as the artist, you should create what you feel like, not what appeases the fanbase
ahh, i think youre getting a little bit of the wrong idea here. what i wanted to do was an ask just as a once in a while thing. y'see, i like drawing ponies, but often get stuck for ideas. so what i wanted to do was make my pony art all ask or request based so i can focus on finding ideas for my other art and just let the pony ideas float in from the watchers ^^ and id deffo limit it to just the first comment on each one, or something similar. and maybe like... one a week or longer. not like HERES 6646456464646400000000000000000 PONY ASKS IN ONE DAY.
